WI have been placed in group one, who's first area to study is moving image, which is the pathway I feel most draw to going in to the year, and the one I expect to follow going out of it.

We have been asked to produce a 'one-shot film'; a short film that has no cuts whatsoever; a single camera on a tripod pointing at what is happening. Once split into groups, we organized to meet at a coffee shop to discuss ideas a few days later. We have decided to follow Uri's idea of a short film set inside a lift. After the meeting, we all organized to go away to come up with ideas for various different story lines that we could have. Trying to come up with ideas for that sucked, since we only had a few minutes, so what I eventually did was to write the entire film myself, and they can use whatever they like from my outline depending on what they like from it. Who know: maybe they won't like any of it. Maybe they'll like all of it. I'm not sure group work is really where I am going to do best, I find it hard to work with other people that I am literally forced together with. In fact, I hate it. It's not that I don't like my group, it's just when I create something like a film, there are people I already have in mind I want to work with, because they are like me. They find the same things funny that I do, and I already know them to be creative and great.

However, obviously that's not possible in a group of strangers, so I'm just hoping what we produce is decent. No idea why I created this post.
